I created this Artwork during Lockdown. I love the Art of Origami and I wanted to create a colourful somewhat abstract wall hanging made up of hundreds of Sonobe Units. I love to use colourful paper and from a distance this may appear to be a 2d piece but on closer inspection you can see the 3d aspects. I used crraft gems between each of the pyramids and it is mounted on a mounting board with rope hanging.I use bright colours in my work as I believe it has a positive impact on those viewing the work. There is a fair amount of blue as I like it's calming effect but the viewer may feel different emotions through the other colours. I did not plan any particular order to place the colours hence the title 'Colour Chaos'. I enjoy making these almost sculptural modular pieces and I am influenced by Abstract Street Art, Post Modern Architecture and the Mathematics of this type of Origami.
