Of all the festivals celebrated in India, Diwali is by far the most glamorous and important. Enthusiastically enjoyed by people of every religion, its magical and radiant touch creates an atmosphere of joy and festivity. Diwali is a festival of lights symbolizing the victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. People illuminate their whole house with small lights and candles or diya’s so that darkness is nowhere to be found. This year during lock down we celebrated the festival in Ireland away from family. In general parents encourage their kids to light the candles and build the doll house to engage them during the festivity and at the same time being creative. Amid closure of craft stores this year we built a Diwali house (Doll house) with minimalistic resources like cardboard boxes, decorative paper, lights which were available at our house. We also 3D printed few furniture items for the doll house. On the whole we managed to be little artistic using the resources which were available at our place.
